Welcome to My Personal Page
It's funny when I think about the things I am lucky to be able to do...definitely not things that people without cancer think of as awesome. However, I truly am fortunate for my regular trips to the doctor, for each needle stick, for every swallow of that disgusting drink on the day of my scans. Because, for each of those typically "inconvenient" and scary things, I get to see my daughter come into my classroom for English class each day, make honor roll, perform on a big stage, and hit a three-pointer in a basketball game! I get to sip morning coffee on the deck with my husband, watch beluga whales off the side of a ferryboat, help my parents unpack their new apartment, and fly to Vegas to help my sister pick out her wedding dress. I get to live. To be here. To see and do the things that, without fundraisers like CTCC that raise VITAL funds that go directly into local cancer research, medications that I've been fortunate enough to have course through my veins, may not have been developed. Thank you so much for donating and supporting me on this long journey.
